Rider Balance & Alignment Clinic

Saturday, July 15 (4pm-7pm) & Sunday, July 16 (9:00am start)

at Bountiful Blessings Farm, Howell, NJ

This specially themed Rider Balance & Alignment Clinic will begin on Saturday (4pm-7pm) with unmounted groundwork (no horse) that includes a presentation on anatomy and biomechanics related to rider alignment; and contact with horse. We will examine what happens to the horse's body when the horse is ridden properly vs. being ridden from front to back and pulled into a "frame." Several fun and enlightening unmounted rider exercises will help riders identify the proper balance, alignment and muscle group usage that facilitates quality contact. Mounted instruction takes place on Sunday starting at 9am. All levels of riders are welcome.

Unmounted Groundwork: Saturday 4pm to 7pm

Into the Woods Farm Continuing Education For Instructors and Riders

Sunday, July 9, 2017 - 10am to 4pm

Does Your Body "Spiral Out of Control" When You Ride?

Tap into your body’s muscle-fascia chains and spirals to help improve your riding and your horse

The workshop begins in the cabin at Into the Woods Farm with a presentation on anatomy and biomechanics related to the muscle and fascia chains that run throughout both the human body and the horse's body. We will cover how these chains work and how even a tiny movement is linked from one end of the body to the other. Learn how important it is for riders to equalize their superficial front and back myofascial meridians; and how to use the natural spiral chains in the body to improve your riding and improve your horse!

I am looking for 1 to 3 demo riders:  For those who wish to ride, the mounted work will take place in the arena after the morning groundwork where the theme will continue with the rider(s). All auditors are encouraged to attend the riding portion.

Trailer parking is available. Stalls and turnout are also available if needed at no extra charge.

Light refreshments be served.

Kathy Culler is a Certified Centered Riding Instructor, a Certified, Lifetime Instructor with the American Riding Instructor Association, a Rider Balance & Alignment Instructor, and an Equicizer™ Body Awareness Instructor.
