About the Event
Calling all Centered Riding Instructors and riders of all levels and disciplines:
This clinic was so popular when it was first introduced, that we are offering it again. Kathy will take the participants through a review of Centered Riding's foundational basics, using a PowerPoint presentation along with hands-on, unmounted exercises. Participants will explore the Centered Riding basics, as Sally Swift originally described them. During the bodywork phase of the clinic, Gail Field, Level IV Centered Riding® Clinician, will lead the group in bodywork to accompany and enhance the various Centered Riding (CR) concepts.
We will explore Centered Riding through groundwork, bodywork, and use props/equipment such as the Equicizer™, Alexander Horse, physio ball, mini trampolines, reins, Tai chi balls, tensegrity models, and more. Centered Riding instructors will get a chance to practice their bodywork and proficiency with groundwork exercises. Riders will get to focus on themselves (without the horse!) and experience how CR can help enhance awareness and improve riding skills. Whether you are new to Centered Riding or have years of experience, this clinic is for you! Fun, friendly learning environment, perfect for small groups! Overnight accommodations and lake activities are available. Leave your horse at home and bring your bathing suit! Come learn, have fun and enjoy time at beautiful Lake Norman in North Carolina.
